Mz Naa Hosts Drive Time On Ultimate FM

A lot of the times certain radio programs are traditionally hosted by a certain gender.

More often than not, morning shows and late afternoon (Drive time) slots are hosted by males whiles mid morning and late night shows for the feminine sex.

It’s rare to find a female host a Morning or drive Time show as these two are perceived to be prime time slots which in effect has generated a lot of gender capability debate to the table.

It’s seldom to find Female host on a drive time show but guess what, the ever budding, sensational and award winning radio host Naa Klordey Odonkor, popularly known as Mz Naa is challenging the status quo in that regard.

After 12 years of being a mid morning show host, Mz Naa takes new strides by taking on the late afternoon show slot on Ultimate FM 106.9mhz, a subsidiary of the EIB family.

This will make her the first female to permanently host the drive time show dubbed “The Ultimate Drive” and also the only female drive time host in the Kumasi metropolis. This comes as big challenge to her and her team but with God on her side she is positive to deliver.

AFrica’s Screen Goddess Joselyn Dumas’ Foundation Installs CCTV Cameras For Korle Children’s/Pediatric Block

Joselyn Dumas and her foundation “THE JOSELYN CANFOR-DUMAS FOUNDATION” (JCD Foundation) on Friday 18th May 2018 Officially handed-over installed and fully functional CCTV Cameras to the Children’s/Pediatric Block of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

On New Year’s Day, Monday 1st January 2018, Joselyn along with the JCD Foundation and family organized a fun-filled party in collaboration with Think Mahogany Events by Debra Jane for the Children’s/Pediatric Block. The purpose of the party was to bring the cheers of the festive celebrations to the hospitalized children and their families whom spent the day with them as well as commence the New Year with them with optimism.

Before her departure, Actress, Tv and Radio Host Joselyn Dumas in a conversation asked the nurses on duty what specific needs they had which she could help with in aid of improving their working environment and care service provision for the children and their families in the block. The Head of Nurses, Madam Agnes expressed a great concern for the general protection of the unit, suggesting the need of a better security system for the protection of all persons on the wards as there have been numerous reports on theft crime and she felt this could be reduced significantly if not completely if CCTV Cameras were installed.

The JCD Foundation has successfully installed Security CCTV Cameras and Servers at specific vantage points in and out of the block, protecting their safety. Professor Lorna Reney, officially received the Joselyn Canfor-Dumas Foundation’s donation on behalf of hospital management on Friday 18th May 2018 and expressed how invaluable their contribution is to the hospital as it will deter baby/child theft and nurse and baby/child-mother’s malpractices in the block as well as tighten their security, contributing to an improved service provision.

Joselyn, who has undertaken the cost of many surgeries for children expressed her love for children and vowed to do everything possible to ease the discomfort of children on the block as well as those underprivileged around the country. Joselyn has encouraged everyone to get involved no matter how small, just as the President, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo said “we shouldn’t be spectators but citizens”. Therefore, she believes it takes a collective effort from all of us to support the less privileged in our society especially children. The Actress therefore appealed to the public and all Ghanaians to help in every little way possible.

The Joselyn Canfor-Dumas Foundation, among many other charities continues to finance the education of smart but underprivileged children around the country. They also spearheaded the widely known #Xcholera, an effective campaign organized to eradicate Cholera in Ghana a few years ago.

6 Reasons Nigerians should visit Ghana

6 Reasons Nigerians should visit Ghana The

6 Reasons Nigerians should visit Ghana TheThe West African countries of Ghana and Nigeria have an ongoing rivalry between them akin to that of siblings. From football, to politics, to entertainment, citizens of each country always want to demonstrate their superiority over the other, howbeit not in a hateful or biased manner. It is always more bants than facts. There have been several episodes, of ‘social
media wars’ or ‘Twitter Fights’ between citizens of both countries that leaves us all clutching our stomach with laughter. Through it all though, it is obvious that it is all love and sport.

In this post, we attempt to give reasons why Nigerians, despite the rivalry with their Ghanian counterparts, should visit the Gold Coast. Just like Nigeria, Ghana is rich in history, mineral resources, culture, tradition and places of interest to see and visit.
Many Nigerians do not even know that in Ghana you have Hausa and Fulani speaking people like there are in Nigeria.

Ghanians are like cousins to Nigerians. Visiting Ghana for a Nigerian is like visiting your cousins for holiday. There are lots you share in common, but somehow you all still do things differently. Case in point, the jollof. When Nigerians visit Ghana there is an air of familiarity about the place, some lingo and slangs are commonly used, but their pidgin is still very

Shitor. Banku. Waakye. Jollof. The list is endless really. Ghanian cuisine can be a joy to experience and even though the eternal battle over whose jollof is better still rages on, no Nigerian should visit Ghana without tasting the jollof. Ghanaian food is actually so popular in Nigeria that there are bukas and restaurants in Lagos dedicated to selling just Ghanaian
meals. The most popular among them is Ghana High.

Shatta Wale
Shatta Wale is Ghana’s biggest music sensation at the moment. And only recently he has had a war of words with Nigerian pop artistes on social media. As long as you are not one to take these things too seriously, visiting Ghana to see a Shatta Wale show should be on your list of things to do, at least that way you can see what the hype is about yourself and tell if he is as great as he says he really is.

Ghana is blessed with such an impressive stretch of beach line. If you are tired of the Elegushi and Oniru beaches of Lagos, switch it up by exploring the coastline of Labadi and Kobrobite. If you are enthusiastic about wildlife, visit the Cocoloco beach where you would find turtles and a large number of river birds. Beach Resorts in Ghana are beautiful and
spending a night or more in one of them would greatly enrich your Ghana experience.
Hospitality in Ghana is amazing with big establishments and accra hotels offering top notch service to travelers.

Charle Wote
We have Calabar Carnival. They have Charle Wote. This annual street cum art festival does get bigger and better every year with amazing exhibitions, musical performances, art installations, food, merchandise vendors as well as live music and dance that goes on well into the night. For anyone who enjoys having a good time, when in Ghana, Charle Wote is a
must attend.

Nigerian Community
There is a perpetually growing Nigerian community in Ghana and visiting Ghana would definitely feel like home. It wont be long before you notice the familiar accent of a Nigerian, no matter where he is from back home and quickly tag them as your brother or your sister.
Especially in Ghanian Universities where many Nigerians turn to as an alternative to schooling in Europe or right here at home.
