, 29, will make his American debut by defending his WBA, , IBF, and IBO titles when he takes on New York’s  at Madison Square Garden on June 1.


In a video posted to social media, Joshua whose last fight was against Russia’s  confirmed the bout with  and explained why an agreement couldn’t be reached first for a showdown with US champion .


He said; ‘June 1 I’ll be travelling to MSG. New York City, the Big Apple,’ Joshua said in a video posted to social media.

‘I’m there to take a bite out of that and I’ll be competing against Jarrell Miller.
