Mauricio Pochettino claimed his first ever piece of silverware less than two weeks after taking over at PSG as his side beat Marseille 2-1 to win Trophee des Champions.
The former Tottenham boss only took charge of the French giants back on January 2 but finally broke his trophy curse after his side weather a late storm to claim the cup, which is the French equivalent to the Community Shield, for the eighth consecutive season.
After a month on the sidelines due to an ankle injury, Neymar struck for Les Parisiens late on from the penalty spot after a first-half opener from striker Mauro Icardi.
Tributes came in for Pochettino, including former England striker Gary Lineker, who tweeted: ‘Mauricio Pochettino has only been at PSG for ten minutes and he’s won his first trophy as a coach.’
