Manchester United makes their first official move for a winger this summer, as they table a bid for Juventus star Douglas Costa.
Douglas Costa has been made available by Juve, who are planning to restructure under new manager Andrea Pirlo and make sizable cuts to their crippling wage bill.
And United have already tested their resolve with a £27million (€30m) bid for Costa, according to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to value the talents of the pacey 29-year-old, and feels he could add a fresh dynamic to United’s blossoming attacking line.
It is reported that Juve feel they can get a further £10m from the deal, for the player they paid £38m for in the summer of 2018.
Costa is contracted in Turin until 2022 though United are aware his services are much more easily attainable this summer than Jadon Sancho.
Juventus may be more inclined to do business with United and readily agree to their terms, given the growing interest in Turin to bring Paul Pogba back to the club.
