8 Worst Premier League players of all time
#6 Ade Akinbiyi (Leicester City)
Ade Akinbiyi was a competent lower-league striker who was unable to cut it in the Premier League. He played in the English top-flight for Norwich City, Leicester City and Sheffield United.
In total, he scored just 11 goals in 78 top-flight games and was even relegated once.
Akinbiyi is probably best remembered for his time with the Foxes where he was signed as a club-record £5.5 million replacement for Emile Heskey. Unfortunately, things never worked out for the Nigerian international who was booed by the Leicester fans after his consistently profligate finishing left him with just 13 goals in his 67 games for the club.
He was eventually sold to Crystal Palace for a loss.
