PSG sign Keylor Navas
Keylor Navas has completed his move to Paris Saint-Germain, which brings to an end his five-season stay at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
It was made clear to the Costa Rican that Thibaut Courtois was going to be Real Madrid‘s No.1 goalkeeper moving forward, so he asked Zinedine Zidane if he could leave in the hope that he will get more minutes elsewhere.
Now, Keylor has signed a four-year contract with PSG. The transfer fee is close to 15 million euros and, as part of the deal, Alphonse Areola has joined Los Blancos on a season-long loan.
The 32-year-old leaves Madrid with an incredible reputation amongst the fans and everyone at the club after playing an integral role in their three successive Champions League triumphs between 2016 and 2018, but also for his faultless behaviour over the five seasons he spent in the Spanish capital. Keylor departs with 12 winners’ medals, of which nine came with him as a starter.
