Liverpool now know their Champions League final opponents in Madrid as Tottenham Hotspur produced an incredible comeback against Ajax in the second-leg of their semi-final tie at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
Ajax added to their vital away goal last week by scoring inside the opening five minutes as captain Matthijs de Ligt headed home Lasse Schone’s cross.
The home side doubled their advantage ten minutes before half-time as Dusan Tadic set up Hakim Ziyech, whose shot spun away from Hugo Lloris and into the far corner.
Spurs had their fair share of chances on the break and looked increasingly threatening at the start of the second-half.
They got their reward not long after as Lucas Moura took over from Dele Alli’s run into the box to tuck the ball past goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Ajax soon found themselves in a similar position to Barcelona last night as Moura netted another in quick succession.
