The Gunners have wrapped up a deal which will see Suarez move to the Emirates on loan for the remainder of the season.
They have also agreed an option to make the transfer permanent for £20million over the summer should he make an impact in the Premier League.
Suarez, 25, has also agreed a contract extension with Barca which would come into force should he return to the Spanish giants at the end of the season.
The midfielder, capped once by Spain, has struggled to make an impression on the first team at the Nou Camp.
But Gunners manager Unai Emery is convinced he can provide more quality to a midfield he is looking to overhaul at the Emirates.
Emery worked with Suarez when he took him on loan at Sevilla during the 2014-15 season and has followed his progress closely ever since.
The Arsenal manager is gradually starting to change the squad he inherited from Arsene Wenger, with midfield being a particular area of concern.
