#7 Corrado Grabbi (Blackburn)
Once on the books of Juventus as a kid, Italian striker Corrado Grabbi’s form for Ternana convinced Blackburn to make him the club’s record signing in 2001. But Grabbi struggled to come to grips with Premier League, as he scored just two goals in 30 games during his three-year association with the Lancashire club.
During that time, the Italian’s poor form meant that he was singled out and ignored on and off the pitch. He was so bad that he was loaned out to Messina just after a year.
Although he returned to Blackburn, by that time, his career was on a never-ending downward spiral. He played for a host of lesser Italian sides thereafter before finally retiring in 2008.
